Voting in numbers

Because we’re a building society run for your benefit, every year we ask you to vote on a number of key issues, such as the election of your Directors. It’s a right you don’t have if you’re only a customer of a high street bank.

Voting is quick, easy and does make a difference and the 2008 AGM votes did just that. As a result of the number of votes cast, Nationwide was able to donate £250,000 to Macmillan Cancer Support. The money raised will be used to help fund two Cancer Information and Support Centres.

The 2009 AGM will take place on Thursday 16th July at the Birmingham International Convention Centre.

Nearer to the date all eligible members will receive a voting pack and an invitation to attend the meeting.
