Introduction

From 10 June 2008, if you use Internet Explorer 7 (IE 7) you’ll notice a change to the way your address bar displays when you sign on to our Internet Banking service.

This is due to a new way that website certificates are being developed for new browsers – it’s called Extended Validation Certificates.

Your address bar will go green in colour and display the name of Nationwide Building Society. This makes it easier for you to recognise that the site you’re on is genuine and secure.
